Stroke School

 

A more intensive level of swim instruction that is offered by the North Palm Beach Swim Club. The Stroke Clinic is open to swimmers who have a competent freestyle and can swim backstroke unassisted. This is a half hour-long class for children 6 years and older. Typically, stroke clinic swimmers are trying to refine and improve the proficiency of their stroke.  Stroke clinics, stroke analysis, and stroke instruction are given by the NPB coaching staff.  We offer a few different options and packages.

 

Quick Stroke Class

This is a private 30 minute class.   Students stroke will be evaluated, they will be taught specific stroke drills that will emphasis the weak points of the stroke.   The goal is of the stroke class is to better educate the athlete on their stroke technique and improving efficiency.  We will place a large emphasis on specific drills that are geared towards improving the swimmers’ technique and stroke efficiency during the course of the lesson.   The cost for a thirty minute class is $35.

 

Stroke Analysis & Video

This is a private 60 minute class.   Swimmers will spend the first fifteen meetings being filmed.   The next 30 minutes swimmers will go thru a series of drill that will emphasis improving the swimmers body position and efficiency.   Swimmer will be video as they work on their drill and slowly apply it to a series of control swimmers.   The last fifteen minutes will be spent analysis the videos.   The cost for an hour of stroke analysis is $80.

 

IM Stroke Class

The IM stroke class is a series of five 30 minute classes.   Swimmers will be evaluated, and will be taught specific stroke drill that will help strengthen their stroke.   Each stroke will be reviewed in a 30 minute class.   The fifth class will consist on the transition turns in the IM and starts.   The IM stroke class cost $140 for the five 30 minute classes.

The IM Stroke analysis & video is a series of five 60 minute classes.  Swimmers will spend the first fifteen meetings being filmed.   The next 30 minutes swimmers will go thru a series of drill that will emphasis improving the swimmers body position and efficiency.   Swimmer will be video as they work on their drill and slowly apply it to a series of control swimmers.   The last fifteen minutes will be spent analysis the videos.   Each stroke will reviewed in a 60 minute class. The fifth class will consist on the transition turns in the IM and starts.   The IM stroke class cost $300 for the five 60 minute classes.
